My first blogger review!

It's hard when you publish your first book and you have no idea whether it's crap. You push your little bird out of the nest and you hope like hell that you won't hear a splat.

I figured I was taking a risk when I sent Moonstone Beach out to book review bloggers requesting reviews. What if they hated it? What if they told the world that I had no talent? What if they found scores of errors and ridiculed me for it?

Well, I'm pleased to report that my first review was a good one. Ali over at Bargain Book Reviews gave me a rating of 4.625 out of 5. (That's correct: 4.625. Apparently, there was math involved.)

That's all I really set out to do with this book—make people's day brighter. I know there's a lot to be said for literature, for award-winning books that inspire and challenge. But there's also a lot to be said for feeling good for the time it takes to read a novel. If I've made a few people feel good, I figure that was well worth the effort.
